Inpatient detox could save your life

Inpatient detox may be for you if you are having a difficult time with your drug consumption? Do you often tell yourself that you are only going to take a set amount of medication each day and end up taking a lot more than you intended? If this sounds like you then you may indeed need an inpatient detox.

If you do decide to go the first thing you will have to do is locate a drug and alcohol rehab as near by to you as possible. You can more than likely find a top notch rehab that will detox you for alcohol or other drugs on the internet. They should have the phone numbers and info you will need right there so give them a call and set up a time to come in to be detoxed.

Once you get there you will see a doctor who will examine you ask you a bunch of questions about your which drugs you have the problem with. They he or she will prescribe the right prescript
on medication to help you with your detox.

Then you will be taken to the detox ward and given a bed. After a little while a nurse of or someone who has been trained to do so will administer your medication. This should make you more comfortable and you will probably not suffer at all from your withdrawal symptoms.

This process can take up to 5 days but usually a little less. Once you have completed your detox I would suggest that you continue your recovery in residential treatment. This will give you the tools you will need to remain clean when you leave rehab.

If this not your first time going to a residential detox center do not feel bad; in fact you deserve a pat on the back for not giving up. I went to inpatient detox so many times I lost count.
